Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, she worked for three years with the
Union latine, an intergovernmental organization. In this context, she had the opportunity to give a lecture at the
E.N.A. on Futurism, one of whose central themes is simultaneous perception. Her interest in the theme of the relationship between humans and the "places they inhabit" was already emerging.
Her work primarily explores the relationship between individuals and their living spaces, from the personal to the social sphere, as well as the role of memory as a necessary bridge to understand the past, grasp the present, and imagine the future.
« Responding to a call for tenders from Immobilière 3F for a report on the memory of a place destined to disappear (the blocks of the Ile Marante suburb in Paris), and thanks to the series 'Stanze' created in parallel with the documentary work, the importance of using photography became a necessity for me. » Finalist of the
HSBC Prize (2010), Winner of the Roger Thérond Documentary Image Prize (Sète, 2011), Heart's Choice of the Talent Grant (2011), Eurazeo Heart's Choice (2012).
Since then, she has undertaken various artist residencies, and photography, as well as recorded sound material, have become an integral part of her life and research. Working with testimony allows her to infuse emotion into the story being told.
Even in the context of workshops (Mep, Gwinzegal Art Center, in schools...), these same themes are playfully reimagined. Body, space, movement, three realities that can be combined in infinite ways and raise as many questions as there are contexts.
For several years, she has also been developing participatory photographic « devices » in parallel with her work. The need to question reality and the notion of the other, along with reflections on the photographer’s role and their own form of social engagement, has led her toward projects where the individual and the collective intertwine in favor of a less controlled form of capture. The intention remains constant: confronting an intimate dimension with a shared, universal experience. (Louis Mourier Hospital in Colombes; Fossés Jean Socio-Cultural Center in Colombes; Rencontres d’Arles 2015 for Leica Camera; Rencontres d’Arles 2016; Bretonneaux Hospital in Paris; Jean Vilar College in La Courneuve; Collaboration with Musa Decima in the business sector; Fictions Documentaires Festival 2018 in Carcassonne; Hôpital Beaujon, Clichy...)
« Autophotography, (term created by one of my students during the awarding of the Daac Prize at the Jeu de Paume) was born following a long-term workshop in 2012 with young people in the process of dropping out of school at Jean Vilar College in La Courneuve. It was on this occasion that I conceived the 'Boîte' device, a kind of mobile and modular studio. »
Photography always raises a question: whether it has the purpose of providing a poetic vision or a critical perspective, whether it touches the intimate or the social.
